Cosy “beach house” for 4 people
At a stone’s throw away from the beach, the forest and cosy restaurants is our holiday residence “Home at Zeeland”.
The residence, completed in 2016, is situated in the small and quiet park “Scalde Oort” and has all modern facilities: A fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, internet through WIFI, stereo and digital TV with several foreign channels.
The house has three bedrooms and a bathroom equipped with a traditional sauna. On the front side of the holiday home there are wide opening patio doors that create the real beach house feeling. The property comes with two private parking spaces.
Westenschouwen is a small and quiet town located in the west corner of the island Schouwen-Duiveland. Surrounded by the natural reserve “Kop van Schouwen” you will find yourself in a unique area.
Wide beaches that border the largest forest in the province “Zeeland” will ensure peace, space and a rich variety of flora and fauna. The perfect location to partake in walking or cycling routes while listening to the sound of the surf.
Within walking distance from your residence, you will find cosy restaurants and beach pavilions.
Other sightseeing destinations in the region are:
The Oosterscheldekering (Eastern Schelde storm surge barrier), between the islands Schouwen-Duiveland and Noord-Beveland, is the largest of the 13 “Delta Works” series of dams and storm surge barriers, designed to protect the Netherlands from flooding from the North Sea
The Plompe Toren, build in 1468 is the last that remained of the village “Koudekerke” that has been swallowed whole by the sea in the 17th century.
Burghsluis a picturesque port on the southern side of the island, and many more intriguing places.
In short, a beautiful destination for those who enjoy nature and a relaxing beach holiday.
